Chapter 1

The 215 Stroke VR Golf Demolition

Simon Carver

Forty full rounds of virtual reality mini golf. Imagine putting through fantasy courses, calculating bank shots, and watching your rival beat you by a total of two hundred and fifteen strokes.

Jimbo

That is, uh, that is not just a loss. That is a full scale statistical demolition.

Simon Carver

It really is! So, on the Bros2K tracking hub, The 2kBros, Phillip, who plays as HARRBRO83, and Joe, who goes by PRIMO, took their long running NBA 2K rivalry and moved it over to Walkabout Mini Golf.

Jimbo

Right, because trading three pointers on a digital hardwood court just wasn't enough punishment. They needed physics and virtual putters. Who knows, maybe one day their Unc Lounge dream will come true.

Simon Carver

Exactly. And after forty grueling rounds in Season 1, Phillip walked away with the crown, sitting at an unbelievable cumulative score of minus three hundred and fifteen.

Jimbo

Wait, wait, minus three hundred and fifteen? What, what was Joe at?

Simon Carver

Joe finished at minus one hundred.

Jimbo

Minus one hundred is still thirty six holes under par overall across a season, which is respectable, but, er, but next to minus three hundred and fifteen? You are trailing by two hundred and fifteen strokes! In golf, that is, that is an ocean.

Simon Carver

Think about the mental grind of that. You put on the headset for round twenty five, you know you are down by over a hundred strokes, and you still have fifteen courses left to play.

Jimbo

It reminds me of being on air during an absolute blowout game where the home team is down forty points in the third quarter. You still have to describe the action, but everyone in the building knows the story is already written.

Simon Carver

Yeah, except you cannot just turn off the headset and walk away because every single stroke gets logged on their website for permanent history.

Jimbo

Permanent bragging rights. Or permanent trauma, depending on, uh, depending on who you ask.

Chapter 2

Phantom Aces and Lost Evidence

Jimbo

And Phillip dominated the leaderboard in Season 1 with thirty eight total aces, solidifying a massive lead across the board.

Simon Carver

Thirty eight hole in ones in forty rounds is just insane consistency.

Jimbo

So going into Season 2, which is currently underway, things look a lot tighter, don't they?

Simon Carver

They do! Phillip is still leading, but it is currently sitting at minus thirty one for HARRBRO83 to minus twenty four for PRIMO.

Jimbo

Only a seven stroke deficit! That is, uh, that is a actual contest compared to Season 1's runaway blowout.

Simon Carver

The question is whether Joe can keep adapting to the virtual greens and close that gap, or if Phillip's Season 1 legacy has already set the permanent hierarchy.

Jimbo

Either way, as long as they step up to the tee, every single putt counts. Good chatting, Simon.

Simon Carver

Talk soon.
